v Approve Minutes: Kathy Greene
April 21, 2008 meeting to review the Covenants – Bob Bittenbinder made a motion to approve the minutes, as amended. Louis Vilardo seconded the motion. All were in favor, and the motion passed unanimously.
v Covenants Review: Paragraph IV – Uses Prohibited and Permitted
§
Section 1 – Kathy Greene discussed with John
Myers,
§ Section 7 - Bob Bittenbinder will research definitions of ‘home business’ and ‘commercial vehicle’. Commercial vehicles and storage were discussed.
§ Section 13 – Kathy Greene expressed a concern that ‘vehicles’ stated plural was misleading since only a single commercial vehicle is allowed according to County Ordinance. The Board discussed it and determined that no changes were necessary.
Bob Bittenbinder suggested any vehicle that is licensed should be allowed in the driveway. The Board discussed vehicles in the community and revised as follows:
1. Except as allowed in Section two (2) below, no truck; van; boat; recreational vehicle; motor home; camper; trailer; bus; all terrain vehicle or off-road vehicle; dirt bike; go cart; unregistered vehicle; or any commercial vehicle of any type.
7. Kathy Greene suggested to remove ‘and’, create two sentences ‘ . . . institution. No noxious, dangerous . . .’
8 and 9. Louis Vilardo brought up the exception of pet dogs, cats and birds excludes pets such as gold fish and hamsters. The Board discussed the extent of its jurisdiction inside homes. Jim Moore said that animals that cause a nuisance would violate County maintenance code, and the County would handle the violation. The Board agreed that since it hasn’t been a problem to this point, no changes were necessary.
v Adjournment
Bob Bittenbinder made a motion to adjourn. Louis Vilardo seconded the motion. All were in favor, and the motion passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Rhonda Thomas
