Louis Vilardo said he contacted the vendor that will be refurbishing the signs. He said it would cost $200 per post to repair and refurbish the posts. He suggested the Association contact the Boy Scouts to paint them as they did before. Louis added that some posts had concrete deterioration.

Kathy Greene said she would survey how many posts there are and the degree of repair required.

Dinah Washam said she knew a Scout leader in the community and would contact him.

·         Questions About a Questionnaire – Dave Mastran

Dave suggested a survey be sent and returned with the annual bill (for dues). Kathy Greene said she would ask Wayne Hatten to find out if the bank would receive and process them. Tom Wajdowicz said he didn’t think a questionnaire was necessary; if people had questions, they could attend the meetings.

Louis Vilardo suggested the following questions:

Are you interested in street lights?

Are you interested in getting more information about annexation?

Would you be willing to pay higher dues for stronger covenant enforcement?

Kathy Greene said the questions should be more general:

How do you think Juno Isles could be improved?

What do you like about Juno Isles? What don’t you like?

What would you like to see changed?

Having a suggestion box at the picnic was discussed. The Board agreed to close the issue.

  • Pending Legal Issues

Kathy Greene said she contacted the Association attorney regarding the pending fence issue and has not received a response. The Board discussed seeking a new attorney.

Power Plant submitted a proposal to Louis Vilardo for lawn care and fertilization of the Juno Isles Blvd. island. Power Plant’s proposed costs were less per month than the current provider, Generation Green. Louis Vilardo made a motion to hire Power Plant, provided they meet the county contract requirements for licenses and insurance. Dave Mastran seconded the motion. All were in favor and the motion was unanimously approved.

Kathy Greene presented the Great Parrot Award to Louis Vilardo. She created the “Great Parrot Award” to start recognizing Board Members who were accomplishing tasks and doing a good job for the Association.
